Turkey Day!

I had half a thanksgiving dinner. Instead of turkey I had pork chops, and instead of green beans I had carrots. These packaged mashed potatoes and gravy are really good though! I didn't have very high expectations honestly, but they were great. Also hot chocolate. I don't think that's a Thanksgiving thing. But it's definitely a cold weather thing and it was damn cold and windy today. It was better than it looks in this picture I swear. It has been an awesome day actually. I woke late and decided that I didn't care about classes today. That's sounds bad, but it'll be alright. I was productive anyway--doing lots of laundry, began cleaning my room, took out some trash, made a real lunch, talked with Aoife about Irish stuff. She'd never even heard of pumpkin pie. Terrible. And when you try to explain it, it sounds gross. It's like spiced pumpkin mush in a crust. I didn't say that, but you know.

And then I checked my post! Adrianna send me a very festive package. These jars are mini pumpkin pies! It's soooo cool. And they are delicious. There are 12. All these Irish peeps are going to learn what they are missing. But that's not all!

This thing is what it says it is--a holiday countdown calendar. It's from trombone buddy Laura! There are little tabs with numbers that you pull up to reveal chocolate underneath. haha it's cute. The numbers are all over the place though...so it's not really a calendar, but is just fine. You can't start until December 1st though. Very important. And it counts down until Christmas of course. It might be slightly anticlimactic for me, but I like it.

BAM! I've still never tried this. But it gets rave reviews from one and all. And it's Christmas seasonal. I'm excited for it.

Also: hahaha

Okay yes. Great day. Last night I started watching The Fellowship cause it's been far too long. I'll watch another 70 minutes of it tonight and by this time next week it'll be over.

  3. Grandma: I didn't even think of potato pancakes! I'm definitely doing that tomorrow morning. I really liked the mocha death. It's gone now haha Yeah the jars are awesome! I'm going to make all kinds of mini pies now. I didn't know you could bake in the jars. I don't have real pie pans though, so this is perfect. And if it sucks it's alright cause it's just a little one. I miss you too! I don't think the only person I've hugged here is Julian. It's a little weird.

Madre: Yeah she did! You aren't supposed to, but she said it was soda on the package information.
