Tomorrow is hit the books day for real. Although, there will be no books involved. My Irish final/exam is next week. I figure if I focus my energies on just Irish for the next 5 days I'll scrape by alright. Not that I need to.
So there's this new grocery store right across the street from campus called Aldis. (I always say Albi's in my head. Like the racist dragon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLltYjpxpwI) I gave it a try today. It's super cheap. There are certain things that I don't trust to be that cheap normally. Milk for 79 cents. Broccoli for 39 cents. I'm not dead yet though. It was irritating that they only have big jugs of milk, but I'll just have to find reasons to use it all before it goes bad in one week. Nothing lasts very long here. Bread molds in a few days, milk is only good for a week or two at the most, vegetables a week or two, and everything else is frozen. Meat is iffy too cause they don't sell it really chilled...it is chilled, but not enough. So you kind of have to look through things and make sure you aren't buying something that's turning brown cause it's not cold enough. And don't let meat sit in your fridge for more than a day or two before eating it. Otherwise you better freeze it. It's weird.
Oh damn. I forgot to do my dishes...we're going to have a dishwasher next year. And I'm never going to be without a washing machine and dryer either. It's really not that bad, I just have really dry hands.
In a week I'll have been here for 3 months. Feels about right.
